Christmas is coming, and so it's time to get going on the Christmas gifts I plan to make for people. I decided to try and do something that is relatively simple, yet at the same time, beautiful. I ended up making it twice, so the pictures here are both, just all jumbled. It's the same design, but on one of them, I used some pieces that were a little larger, therefore the end design is a little different, and not as symmetrical. I like it symmetrical! I decided to quill a snowflake. I thought it would be really difficult and time consuming, and it turns out, the most time consuming part, was gluing it on so it all matched up nicely!

Pretty isn't it? I have grand designs to make my Christmas cards using the quilling technique..... but I'm not sure if I have enough time. We'll see. I found a beautiful design on pinterest. So I used a few of those elements, while changing it up so I didn't copy it directly. I added some flourish here and there, and I LOVE how it turned out. I think Quilling is something I will definitely keep practicing.

This is absolutely stunning! I'd imagine you'd need to start making cards in July if you were going to have enough to send out at Christmas! You did a beautiful job, and I'd love to see you link up your snowflake to the Head to Head Showdown, going on right now at www.icantstopcrafting.blogspot.com ~Jen
Love it! I bought a quilling tool and some cardstock and glue, a couple of weeks ago, to make some of these things... I just haven't done it yet. I'm thinking I might try today while I watch "Once Upon a Time".
Thanks for linking up! ~Jen @ www.icantstopcrafting.blogspot.com
